Hello im turning 21 and decided i want to get into the Physical therapy program. Im hearing they changed the degree required to become a PT to 6 years ( masters degree) from a 4 year bachelors. First off, is there anyway i can get a 4 year bachelors degree to become a PTA. I know only a 2 year associates degree is required. But if i go for a 4 year bachelors would that increase my chances in getting a job as a PTA, and would that also increase my overall salary I only want to get a bachelors degree for a PTA career only if it would actually increase job availability and my salary. Also would getting a bachelors degree for a PTA help me for any other job? I live in lafayette, Louisiana so if anyone knows the salary for here that would be helpfull as well... Read More »
