CRITICAL MASS Downtown Lafayette, Louisiana 12-9-11

Bicycle enthusiasts gathered at Parc San Souci, in downtown Lafayette La. for Critical Mass. on December 9, 2011. Despite the chilly 32º weather, the turnout was a success and the ride was full of energy. My understanding of Lafayette's local Critical Mass and its mission is to promote the fun of bicycling and to encourage bicycling as a leisure activity, as a sport or as a means of transportation. It was a fantastic ride among friends and a great opportunity to make new friends. This was my first experience riding in our local Critical Mass and won't be my last because, "Everything looks different from a bike." :)
